This Brown Sugar Frosting is a homemade frosting recipe that is rich, creamy, sweet and cozy! In the large bowl of an electric mixer or using a hand held mixer, beat the 1 cup butter or vegan baking stick until smooth and creamy. About 2 minutes.
Into the butter, beat in the ¾ cup light brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1 teaspoon pure vanilla until smooth and combined. About 2 minutes more.
Slowly add in 3 cups of the confectioners' sugar and half the water (about 3 tablespoons) and beat until smooth.
Then add in the other 3 cups of the confectioners' sugar and slowly add in the remaining 3 tablespoons of water a little at a time until you get the desired consistency. You may not need to use all the water.
